Sam & Aakarsh Present their work as Abrams Scholars
Sam and Aakarsh recently each presented their work at the annual Abrams Scholars final presentations. We’re very proud of both of them and everything they’ve accomplished in the lab.
Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
We had a whopping 5 undergrads present at the 2022 Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium! Spring OUR Symposium
We had two undergrads present posters at the Spring OUR (Office of Undergraduate Research) symposium. Aasim presented the latest findings from his research with Zack on using gelatin in electrospinning. Chloe presented a poster highlighting her research with Jacob from this past year looking at the role of estrogen in fibroblasts. Great job guys!
Summer 2021 OUR Symposium
Andre and Aasim did a great job showing off their hard work at the NCState OUR summer research symposium today. We’ve loved having them around the lab this summer!
Lauryn awarded conference grant
Lauryn was recently awarded one of the inaugural McKay Orthopaedic Research Conference Grant to attend the virtual Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) conference. We’re so honored to have such an exceptional undergrad in our lab!
SIRI 2020 Research Symposium
Cam presented her work as part of the CMI (Comparative Medicine Institute)’s SIRI (Summer Interdisciplinary Research Initiative) program. As is the 2020 normal, the group photo is a zoom screenshot. Cam, Zack, and Matt are circled below (and sorry we’re very bad at drawing circles with a mouse).
Matt Recognized as BMES Rising Star
Matt was recently recognized as one of the Biomedical Engineering Society’s (BMES) 2020 Rising Stars in the Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering (CMBE) Special Interest Group. He was recently recognized at the annual conference in Puerto Rico.

Joella and AJ present at Undergrad Research Symposium
This year we had two of our amazing undergrad present at the Undergraduate Research Symposium. AJ presented on his work with Lewis focusing on the Myotendinous Junction and Joella presented on her work with Danielle examining meniscus changes during growth work.
