Melika Osareh began working as a Ph.D. student at NC State in August 2022 after receiving her Bachelor’s in Science in Honors Biology with Chemistry and Math minors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her research interests include regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, and space medicine. Outside the lab, Melika enjoys hiking, painting, and stargazing as well as being involved in diversity-promotion and outreach events.
